Families open to Reception are usually married couples who agree to host small and poor people according to the charism of the Community, as well as to choose the Holy Family of Nazareth as a role model.
We're living in a time in which sexuality, which is an instrument of communion of life and profound expression of love, continues to be desecrated and reduced to a tool of commercialization, death, devastation of hearts. This is a time when people exasperatedly worry for their present and for their future to be full of certainty and guarantees for their well-being and comfort; this gets the upper hand over the trust in the providence of God which leads the story of every man and becomes closing to life, birth planning, accumulation of wealth in the hands of a few at the expense of many. This is the time of moral relativism in which the good of the individual is realized in "what I want to do" rather than "what is right to do." This creates an often irreversible impairment in people's ability to love, having serious repercussions on families.
In fact many families have become "tiny domestic hells", places full of deep discomfort and easy conflicts for the lack of love, of communication and of mutual listening.
There is an urgent need for couples who know how to live marriage fully and harmoniously, showing its wonderful beauty and sanctity to the world, accepting and promoting life and striving to avoid that a growing number of people become incapable of giving and receiving love.
Families open to reception aim to be small beacons for many of those families trapped in darkness, as well as little hands outstretched to help and welcome children and brothers in conditions of material and spiritual difficulties.
